The August 27 and the August 28 Assam bandhs called by the Bajrang Dal and the All Assam Students’ Union (AAMSU) respectively, may prove costly for these organizations, literally speaking.
The two Assam bandhs inflicted a blow on the State’s economy. Moreover, a lot of damage was caused during the violence that erupted during the August 28 bandh called by AAMSU and various other organizations. The government is now thinking of making the two organizations pay up for the damage caused to the State during the bandhs.
