A postgraduate third year student of Paediatrics in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital was found dead in his hostel room on Monday evening.
Pritam Kumar Das, of Rajaali Tinsukia, had taken an overdose of sleep-inducing injections and committed suicide. According to sources, Pritam was suffering from depression after an obscene MMS featuring him, was circulated in the campus. The MMS which went viral had created a sensation in the campus and elsewhere. Details here
