Silchar Polytechnic was established in the year 1960.This is the only Govt. Polytechnic in the Barak Vally. Now this Institute has four branches of Engineering namely Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, all are AICTE approved. Our passed out students are placed in various Govt, Semi-Govt Deptts, Private Industries & working there with good repute. They are discharging their duties with confidence and for the development of nation. The launce of this website "www.silpo.in" on the eve of the Golden Jubilee Celebration (01.11.2010 to 04.11.2010) scheduled to be held at this Institute, adds an extra glamour to its glory. People across the World will know about us & the Institute better.
